Chapman Architects about

Chapman Architects are designers whose experience, sector expertise and creativity has delivered a unique portfolio of buildings and environments.

We offer a full range of consultancy services which encompass;

  • Masterplanning
  • Architecture
  • Interior Design and Space Planning
  • Landscape Design

Chapman Architects was established in 2003 by Greg Chapman. Our workload is broad and encompasses projects across all sectors of the industry; from new offices and apartments, to complex refurbishments of existing buildings. Our projects often encompass more than one discipline, incorporating architecture, interior design and landscape, providing our clients with coordinated and integrated service.

What our clients say

“We have been working with the Chapman Architects team for a little more than two years on a major redevelopment of our central London corporate headquarter building. During this time I have worked with many of the Chapman Architects team and found them all to be of equal high caliber – always attentive to our needs and sensitive to the fact that we are not architects or developers and therefore we need our hand being held and our voice being heard. When the project comes to an end I shall, on one side be, excited because of the result but sad that I have reached the end of an enjoyable working relationship. I hope that I find other projects to work with the Chapman Architects team on as I am sure the results will be equally brilliant.”

The Management Team

Greg Chapman

Greg Chapman

RIBA

Director

Greg founded Chapman Architects in 2003, and has more than 25 years of professional experience. Previously, Greg worked with both Arup and Bennetts Associates Architects, for 10 years.

Greg works with national and international clients, delivering new build and refurbishment projects in the leisure, retail, education, residential and office sectors. He is committed to delivering the highest standard of design to all projects and, to that end, is involved at every stage. However, there is no doubt that Greg has gained particular experience in ensuring that the ‘die is cast’ in the initial stages of a project, to ensure it meets the client’s brief and presents the best value option.

Over the years, Greg has developed a good rapport and track record with planning authorities, where his straight and open style of presentation, has ensured many successful permissions. Greg is an enthusiast and enjoys the design process. He is keen that the Company exceeds client’s expectations in both the design and delivery.

Annie Chapman

Annie Chapman

BA (hons)

Practice Director

Prior to becoming a Director at Chapman Architects, Annie worked for 25 years in the design industry, and for the last 15, went on to grow her own award-winning landscape design company.

Annie is committed to ensuring the smooth running of ‘all that isn’t architecture’ within the practice and is determined to oversee and encourage the current growth, without losing Chapman Architect’s friendly and approachable quality. Annie recognises that the output of the office is in part, a product of the well-being of the overall team. To this end, she strives to ensure that the office has an active and vibrant environment, and that everyone is well supported.

In her spare time Annie is restoring her derelict garden within rural Hampshire.

Matt Parslow

Matt Parslow

RIBA

Associate

Matt joined Chapman Architects in March 2021 after working for nearly a decade at Scott Brownrigg Architects.

His leadership of a number of large complex building projects compliments CA’s project profile and we are delighted to welcome Matt’s considered approach to the office.

As a prominent team leader, his past work experience offered valuable exposure to work across an array of cross-sector schemes. His strength lies in motivating & energising large teams to work together to fulfil a jobs potential, and work through creative solutions to complex problems. Matts state-of-the-art thinking working on Three Rivers Academy, flipped the usual cellular nature of designing a school, to produce a unique concept which offers a presence to each teaching subject, usually reserved for breakout spaces.

Matt believes that when deliberate & purposeful design is combined with appropriate material selection that upholds the spirit of a project, great spaces are realised.
